Switching chords while finger picking

"Then, forget the 'suggested' chord fingering, at times it becomes necessary to use whatever finger is the best (easiest/closest) to use. There are no 'set-in-stone' fingerings in any piece."
"I've always noticed Neil has never said anything of the like of "this is the only way to play (finger) chord xxxx"."
These two statements have been very helpful in my study.
Thank you!

Am I correct in using BDEBDE as my picking pattern? (Not with G, of course.) I was told to use this pattern by a fellow named billymisfits on Utube. He does a fine rendition of the song, but he capos around four or five.

I have watched the lessons. I found the "Acoustic Genius" series, but I cannot find where you come up with "Finger picking 101" and the one following it. I have looked through every heading at the left of my screen. When I miss something, I always wonder what else I'm missing. Could you clue me in? (Anyone?)
Your telling me the exact lesson and time was very much appreciated!

I am working on moving fingers in order. Thanks.

I think positioning the ring finger just above the second string and then pivoting may be my answer.
Thanks to all.
