Teaching someone to play guitar. Where to start?

Thanks all for the sugestions. I set up a short cut to the Free Biginners Lesson on the guest side of my computer for him. I had never looked at it before, but looks like a great way to go.
I also called the local music store and spoke to the owner. We will be going there on Saturday and will more than than likely come home with a good beginner guitar for him.

It would also help if you can relate C, D and E to Do, Re and Mi. I just found this out my self that they're the same. Would be nice if had someone to teach me that.
