You've also got a repeating pattern.
On the "thickest string" you're showing the notes F F# G A C# D and E.
On the "A string" the same notes are indicated, but with a different starting note: C# D E F F# G A.
On the "D string" the same notes.....etc.
But I'm not sure what the pattern represents.
Thanks for persisting, Daryl.
I'll stop being cryptic.
I'm trying to learn about improvising and this is supposed to represent some sort of pentatonic scale on the fretboard. But I think it also includes "blue notes", whatever they are. You can see my level of ignorance!
I'm kind of a visual thinker, so I thought I'd make this model, and then I could just shift it for whatever key I want to work on. If I could figure out how to post photos I could show different configurations.
I thought it might be a pentatonic scale, but it didn't look quite right. But I'll leave the "analysis" to those who know more. Perhaps, Neil or Vanessa will pipe in?
In order to post a picture(I think) you just hit the "browse" button to the right of "select image file to attach", find the image on your computer, and then hit the "
If you then go back and "edit" your post, you'll see the image filename and html code.
