And why ! Should we learn this stuff, what can we do with it?
Unclewalt as a ,,suggestion" well I certainly see something in there..
Q: can we use it for lead playing (exercises) and set a mode?

I really like your explanation ,how would you start study it,first in open position and later more up the neck?I'm not positive I fully understand the question, but it really helps to practice this stuff so you understand it with your ear and your fingers, as well as your brain.
So, record yourself playing bunch of C chords in a row, and play notes in C major along with it. Then, play a bunch of F chords in a row, and play the lydian F notes (all in the key of C) along with it. Then, play a G chord, and play along using the mixolydian notes. Start by just playing up and down the modal patterns. Then start mixing it up, and see which notes sound good when, etc.
I haven't done this a lot myself, actually, and I'm far from an expert. I just barely know enough to offer this very simple, basic explanation.

I really enjoyed to read everything you posted in here Wiley, you're on a roll! :cheer: Good for you that your understanding of this is getting clearer and clearer (is that correct english? ). Sharing that with others is super beneficial and hopefully it'll get more clear for them too. I very much appreciate you taking the time for it! (I certainly didn't think you were showing off or anything like that.)

I don't want anyone thinking I am 'showing off' or the like. This is how I, myself, learn. I ask questions usually in the form of a statement and wait to be corrected.

So, I want to thank Neil and Vanessa for NOT jumping in here - they know me all too well.
And thanks for the original question, and the following ones Willem. And to everyone else who is 'playing' along, Thanks.
Daryl - in a tounge in cheek sorta way - "I think you know more than you think"
So, get to correcting here, PLEASE!
