Rick,
Nice clean job on the strumming.
As a singer, one thing I always try to do with the videos I watch is sing along with what I'm watching. I had a tough time with your video, and I think it goes back to Bear's excellent advice about accenting the first beat of the measure. Every version of the song I can remember (The Leaves, Hendrix), whether fast or slow, does this. I don't want to belabor the point since Bear has already articulated it nicely.
Hey Joe - Updated-RicksPick
RicksPick,
I have no new tips for you, but I wanted to say that I really like this song, and really enjoyed your show. I think you have the foundation of this song well in hand, and I am looking forward to your follow up. You are planning to solo with your teeth in the follow up, right?
Good job. Pizza points for you.

Hi Rick, I think you are doing very well on that video. You are very comfortable with the chords changing. I think you would benefit in your strumming if your right elbow would not sit on the top of the guitar, but would come down in front of the guitar (just a bit lower than where it is).
In the actual position your arm (with the elbow on the top of the guitar) is pointing down toward the hole and your strumming action is almost in the same direction as the string. Normally the wrist action should be to go up and down but now it is almost lateral. This creates the effect of rubbibng the strings instead of hitting them. If you use a pick it will really be obvious. So the final result should that when you strum, the direction should be perpendicualr to the strings.

Nice post Rick, I enjoyed it, and maybe I'd add one tech comment: it seems to me that your hand movement is more "soft wristed" than in the other guitar videos I've seen. That is, the whole arm stays more or less in place and the wrist does most of the waving up and down. I might think that in the long run your wrist will become painful. Maybe add some forearm movement to your strumming and you will be among us longer

''Hey Rick where you go with that pick in your hand'', i know ''you shot it all down'' i enjoyed it very much,, its nice to have a song in the head,, its a great song for improvising,,, i know there is sort of decending bass piece in it,thats also nice to work it out...i put some on your wall... i take a bow at you and looking forward to your next...
Hi Rick
Agree with a lot of what's been said. I do think that this song benefits from less stumming rather than filling in the gaps. eg I'd play it with only 2 down strokes on the C and D chords. LH didn't appear to have any probs so I reckon this is only a few tweaks from being a done deal.
