Loner by Goldleaf Trying to keep my strumming consistent and learn the guitar well enough so I can sing along. Having some difficulty doing both. Gary

Gary,

That sounded just great. You look very comfortable and laid-back playing a tough-looking song. That's not a NY song I know, but hearing your version (and Wrench's) makes me want to find the original.

Great job! Suzi

Thanks Beaker, shredding?? It felt like it especially when I compared it to wrenches, but I thought that was the tempo Neil played it at.
Suzi, thanks, my timing at coming out with video's is not the best. I was almost done downloading The Loner to YouTube when I went back to TG and saw Neil had already reviewed Wrenches like 3 hours earlier. I recorded it last night and transfered it from my videocam to my PC this morning before I even looked at TG. Thanks again. Gary

Hey Gary another winner! You have your own distinctive sound already on that guitar of yours. Juts keep these videos coming.

Gary- I loved your comment about too many cups of coffee! That was hysterical! Let's put it this way, you played with a clear purpose in mind- to get to the end!!!

You did a great job keeping the rhythm and hitting all the chord changes. I just played that song last night for the first time so I don't have much to add except keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your video with us!

Cheers! :cheer:

Thanks Chris. I just broke out my metronome and I was going at right at 125 bmp, I went back and listened to our Neil and he was at 105 bpm. A good reason to use a metronome. It would have been a lot easier at 80% tempo & sounded better compared to what I was going at. Gary

Bear, I think the videocam must have scared me or something, If I knew I could play that song at 125bmp which is about 20 over what Neil plays it at I'd take on Classical Gas or something hard!!

Suzi, it is a NY song. I just played it about 20 bpm to fast. Gary
