This is a song in Dropped D tuning.

I've writing a blog in the blog section of totally guitars aboiut what I've learnt about alternate tunings.

I've always wanted to play this song ever since I first heard it.
It's by Stefan Grossman and has an alternative title of "The assination of John Fahey"

Comments and suggestions please

Mark, if you recorded this while sitting on the bench outside of an old train station, we would be watching it on a cable TV music special somewhere. That was pro caliber, my friend.

I wrote somewhere yesterday that I had it on good authority that you can't play the Blues unless you got the Blues in your life. Either you got 'da Blues, or you just busted a myth I believed for fifty years.

Man, you just keep getting better and better.

Dan

EDIT: when you are done signing autographs, how about telling us a little about that guitar.

Hi willem it should be assassination.
It means when some somebody kills somebody. Like John Lennon or JF Kennedy.

It seems Stefan Grossman and John Fahey had a bit of a love hate relationship. John Fahey repaid the compliment with a song called the assassination of Stefan Grossman.

There are no lyrics,it's just instrumental.

Masterful. Not sure which I liked more: Windy and Warm, or that. Regardless, both were incredible.
