So I decided to give this a shot with vocals. I used my cedar top Seagull and tuned it down a step so I could at least try to reach the high notes. I did not use a amp for this and just used the Web-cam so let me know what you all think about the sound quality?

Thanks,

Bud

Hi Bud,

Sounded really good all around. Didn't seem to need the amp. The sound came through nicely

I enjoyed it a lot.

Really nice job, Buddy. Have you played that song before finding TG?
The sound was just fine, I'm curious to know if your webcam is integrated in
your computer screen, of if it is an add-on. Also, is the computer a laptop
or a desktop?
Keep'em coming.

Pierre,

I learned that song about a week or so ago on TG. I am using a Logitech Pro 9000 Web-cam that I can use on either the lap-top or the desk-top since it is portable. Using the Web-cam makes it really easy to post videos since the files go directly to your computer drive and you don't have to download them from a camera. The audio quality is surprisingly good with the mic that came with the Web-cam. If I was going to get really serious about recording, I would probably upgrade to a better mic. The Logitech does allow you to use a separate mic from the one that came with the Web-cam.

Looks to be coming along really well, particularly after just a week with it. You have a great voice Buddy, speaking honestly I'm not sure this song suits your voice as well as other stuff you have posted. Just an honest opinion to try and add some constructive thoughts, certainly not meant in a mean spirited way. You sure have a great ability to play quite challenging numbers and sing so that's a great skill. Cheers.

Good job Buddy, long time since I listened to TG lesson on this, have you embellished it a little bit?

Chas

TOVO,

No offense taken at all. This song is a little high for my vocal range even when I tune the guitar down. I appreciate your honest comments and that is what makes this process so great, constructive criticism is what makes us improve.

So thanks for the honesty and the feedback.

Chas,

Yes I took some liberties with it in a few places.
