PLEASE NOTE: If video was recently uploaded it will not work yet. YouTube will need a little more time to get the video ready. Please check back again soon.

I recorded this at the same time that I recorded my 'Blackbird' upload. I was getting frustrated at how long it was taking me to get a good take, so I tried to clear my head with 'Nothing Else Matters'. I uploaded an effected version of this somewhere else on TG, and had promised a clean version, so here it is.

One thing that I'm happy with is my right hand position. It looks like I'm finally starting to get the wrist bend/fingers angled towards the floor.

Comments welcome.

Man, that really looks like a hard piece. Great job, Al. And you're right -- your hand position looks perfect.

Al,
That looks very difficult. Between barre chords, hammer-ons, pull-offs, and harmonics...you are becoming quite an accomplished guitarist. Nice job!
Keep up the great work.

Al

Technically it looked spot on to me. Just curious when you break into the strumming what is that 2nd chord?
Thanks for posting. It was really clean and precise

Al, Really nice! You know, I never realized just how technically difficult that song is. I think because the intro doesn't seem all that difficult with the arpeggios, and then once Hetfield starts singing you don't really notice the rest of the guitar parts. Or at least I don't! But, wow, that's a tricky song! But you did a great job with it,and I, for one, LIKE hearing it un-affected.

I've seen alot of your videos, and that was my favorite to date. Alot of different techniqes in that song, yet you made each transition pefectly. Hard to imagine you had a hard time with getting a good Blackbird take after having seen that.

Hi Al,

Not a song I am very familiar with so I checked out Neils lesson and then YT. You have this nailed IMHO. "Nothing else to say" Great job.
