I do a try in barr chords.
It sounds more than open chords.

Hey Anton. It's a beautiful song isn't it? It's actually the very first song I ever learned from start to finish. Not with barres, but with a B7 which at the time was a real challenge for me. Gee I wonder what Otis Redding would have achieved in music had his life not been so tragically cut short.

Sitting on the dock of the bay was apparently not finished when he died, hence the whistling. I'm not sure if that is true or just a myth. Perhaps someone has the good oil on that?

Nice one, Anton. I love that song and you're definitely doing it justice.

I learned a campfire version with open chords, but your version looks like a great workout for barres.

This whas the first time fore me to play it in barr.
