webtvdan learning Just Breathe guitar lesson
New Guitar – much easier to play.
This song has been fun to practice. Probably the hardest part to learn was playing Dm with my 4th finger.
Used Audacity to slow the actual Pearl Jam version 15%. I can play it full speed but not play & sing it that fast.
A friend recently died – I’m going to post the YouTube link on his Facebook page – had hoped to play the song at his memorial service – just played a guitar solo of Hallelujah. Didn’t feel this was ready and not sure how emotional I would get.
But perfect timing on Neil’s part – grateful he posted the lesson so I could learn it for my friend.

Dan,
that's a tough story about your friend. At least had the song even though you did not play it at the memorial. But on a brighter note... You did a fantastic job singing and playing! Super impressed! You are lucky to be able to sing so well. I look forward to another one. Beaker.

Such a pretty song. When I read it is to be a tribute it made it more special. I really liked it Dan, you gave it a bit of an Irish folk feel in my opinion. If I saw you performing that in public I would certainly think that was appropriate. You have a very easy voice to listen to. The playing looked to be pretty well spot on, but I don't know the tune so hard for me to say. The performance as a whole was great.

A moving tribute to your friend, Dan. Very sorry for your loss.
