I have not tried that lesson, but it sure sounds really nice the way you play it. The notes are quite crisp which means your hand position is very good. Is it the sea in the background (some wave sound of some sort)?

Great work

Great work indeed. This song intimidates me and I haven't had the guts yet to take a crack at it. I like you right hand position alot. A couple of minor glitches were evident in this piece, but I stress minor and a few more days of practice with this song and you'll have it nailed.

Thanks Marc, I've worked on right hand position to get a crisper sound, no waves in the background, (I should be so lucky!) just traffic noise unfortunately.

Cheers Jay, to my shame I'd never heard the song before Neil played it and fell in love with it. I've discovered a love of James Taylor's style through the site which I'm grateful for.

Now if only I could sing it...

dtaylor,

First off, wonderful job on this !!! I have put quite a bit of time into this so it is nice to see someone post it up. The only advice I have is when you move from the "a" to the "g" the notes picked on the G section should be double time, you are currently picking them at the same speed as the rest of the song. I only know this because I put up a video on this as well and Neil caught this and corrected it for me when he reviewed the one I posted up.

Great job and keep on posting. Can't wait to hear you sing along on this one.

Bud

Thanks for the kind comments guys.

Bud, thanks for taking the time to explain, I've been practicing it so long I got used to the way I was playing it... pretty fundamental mistake. I'll go back and review the lesson.
