What a cool experiment at an appropriate time to post it, on the anniversary of Lennon's leaving ...

A worthwhile quote, then:

NOBODY TOLD ME THERE WOULD BE DAYS LIKE THESE !
STRANGE DAYS INDEED !

Yeah, 30 years worth.

Thanks, very nice.

Hi Mark,

I'd almost forgotten how beautiful this song is. And you're playing it so well I can't think of anything you might do differently. And I too thought the singing was John himself until I went back to read your description. Thanks again for sharing this with us.

Al - Thanks. This fingerpicking stuff is coming along at a snail's pace. I don't know how you can do it and sing at the same time. I must not have tapped that section of my brain yet. Either that or it's filled with fretboard studies from Neil.

Pierre - Thank you. Yeah 30 years. Boy time flies. Just think about what the past 30 years would have been like with him around. It's a damn shame...

Stuart - Thank you. Wow I should get a cold more often if I'm going to try and sing.

I haven't heard this song since I wore out my vinyl record back in the early '70s. Hearing it now, I'm reminded how much the guitar work and chord structure sounds like "Julia."

Anyway, great job, Mark. Thanks for letting me revisit this song.

I'm thinking this would be a good song for next month. No pressure, though.

Beautiful Mark. And now fingerpicking is no barrier. So what's next?
