Forgive a little pride I take in being able to get a passable version up, 18 months ago I knew 3 chords and 2 licks, couldn't strum or finger-pick, so its been a long term goal to play Classical Gas, (stumblingly I admit). I learnt dozens of other songs in the meantime but would always come back to this.
Any advice or comments welcome, you know what its like when you've played something so many times you lose perspective on it..?!

dtaylor,
Nice work! Well done! Especially on the last line of section A and the first two of section B. Not easy. I noticed you are doing the half barre on the section B part...I've been trying the full barre but thinking of switching to half after watching you do it that way... much cleaner. Thanks for sharing.

Honestly, I thought that was excellent. You nailed the B part which has some tough barre changes on off beat timing and is NOT EASY. Keep playing, you have skills.

I think you did a great job with the song, you seem to be using all of Neil`s fingering. The tempo varies a bit but it is very fluid. Quite amazing that you are able to play it after 18 months only.
Congratulations for a very nice work

That was some good classical gas there...i can't believe you've only been playing for 18 months! I thought that was a typo or something when I read that. I'd better get my butt in gear.
Thanks for the post.
