Hey Rick -

Thanks for posting this, I've been working on this same group of lessons for some time now, trying to develop the thumb independence necessary for fingerpicking (or at least Travis-style picking, anyway).

In that regard, you seem to be doing a good job keeping the steady bass going through the exercises. One thing I noticed, however, is at a few points - and I think it was during measures where you were just playing bass notes - you seemed to be moving your whole arm to strike those bass notes with your thumb, rather than keeping your hand position steady and just independently moving your thumb. I'll defer to the other pickers here (who unlike me actually know what they're doing), but I think you may want to pay attention to that to keep it from becoming habitual.

Anyway, nice job, I'm looking forward to seeing your progress.
