Neil, you've confirmed what I found out by accident trying this tune ... there are some "deep" concepts involved in playing it, and mastering them would be a great step in anybody's musical evolution.
The thing is, I was surprised to find myself in the deep end of the pool !
I do get that you are using this song to lead us into experimenting with techniques, and I greatly appreciate what I've learned since I started working on it.
So, lots to analyze here, thanks so much for this response !
