Mark, thanks for your comments, this guitar is really growing on me, the solid top makes a lot of difference to the sustain but the bass is a bit anonymous. The singing hides a multitude of sins on the picking, so I think I got away with it (just!), the picking needs to be much cleaner really.
Al, I'd love to hear you busk this one, I know you've been playing it a while, but your voice would be great for it.

Just as i thought it would be brilliant B) , I loved it and thought your singing was really good, like the original. Just a pity your left hand wasnt captured by the vid properly. But it has given a nice tool to help me practice. Well seeing is though your in OZ dont bother about tony come west to the best state and im only 4000km away

I followed some of the advice you were given about practicing other tunes and taking a break from the one you're concentrating on, it was good advice and I noticed improvement immediately. I would practice Landslide for a bit, (different pattern) and then come back to JB and it would feel easier and more fluid for some reason.I practice it a lot everyday but progress is real slow for me, i am trying the tips neil gave me but am a long way off posting any marked improvement, ill keep plugging away
Dean,
You did a great job on this song, very moving and beaiutiful.
I love your singing too.
I also support the 'show us your guitar-face' campaigne too. We had enough phantoms. So i'm looking forward to Blackbird.
Beautiful!

Hi Dean,
I've listened to this a few times and have been meaning to comment. I thought you did a great job with that little guitar and the vocals were terrific. I've been working on this off and on for a while, but still need some work to get it up to singing speed. Your post is an inspiration.

Michele- you are very kind with your comments, I think it's a song people project their own meanings onto, it's dear to my heart and I'm glad to be able to perform it, really glad you liked it.
Stuart- thanks for the thumbs up, it was a tough nut to crack singing and playing but it's getting easier each song I learn.
