I've started playing Slide Guitar in the last couple of weeks.
Hoping to get some early feedback before I get into too many bad habits!

PLEASE NOTE: If video was recently uploaded it will not work yet. YouTube will need a little more time to get the video ready. Please check back again soon.

Mark that's fantastic and very inspirational for me. I'm spending session after session on blues and although slide is not yet in my sights I very much enjoyed watching and listening to you play. You must put in an enormous amount of work and it certainly does show. It gives me hope! :-)

I'm sorry I can't even begin to offer any suggestions. Great to see a video from you, I always enjoy it immensely.

Just great I bet you had a lot of fun doing this and maybe a first review on slide bleus guitar.
I enjoyed also the most classic turn around there is,well in my knowledge.

Mark,

I don't know about any bad habits, I just thought that was freaking awesome :woohoo: . It sounded so cool.

What open tuning are you in?

Great job.

Mark, you did a great job playing this. Your accuracy with the slide is quite impressive. I do not think I heard a bad note which happens when the slide is not above the fret. You were going up and down the neck landing correctly all the time. Also at first I thought you had a thumping machine then I figured you were wearing wood heel shoes on a wooden floor. Good rhythm, it fills in the blanks perfectly with your good timing. It does an excellent accompaniment.

So many things to learn, but I always wanted to learn slide. Your video will be a good reference of what can be done.

Marc

Mark,
That was really great! I loved it. I tried to play around with a slide when Neil put out Amazing Grace awhile back. I found out real fast that it's not easy! Keeping time and playing bass notes was really impressive. Man, I'm happy for you. Congratulations on your hard work paying off.
