Gee... he's a happy chappy

I've been working on this for ages and it shows who would be happy with that noise!

Does it ever get easier?

Hey Dermot!

I think you're making good progress on this song! I don't have specific recommendations for you, though I'm sure others who know the song better can give you some advice. Nice to see a video from you!

PS. I was startled and impressed by the speed of your costume change at the beginning of your video! :)

Hello Suzi

Thanks for taking a look.

There's a lot of buzzing going on in it and timing and...... etc....
I
I find that my right hand cramps up after a while and that has a knock on effect on the strumming too.
In some of Neils lessons (there was one recently too it might have been a FOTW) he mentions only applying
just enough pressure on each note as required....but that's not so easy!

The speedy change was more impressive than the playing that's for sure!!

I'll try and smile the next time too.

Hi Dermot,

I've got this album on my iPod and listen to it quite often. I have not given it a try yet so you're doing way better than me. I might suggest a bit lighter on the strumming but that's just me.

Keep at it 'cause it's a great song.

Hi Dermot, good work on the song. I think your rhythm is quite good. I agree with Bob where lighting up on the strumming would help emphasize the bass line (something like a light brush). I think also that if you strum more on the thinner strings it would make it a little lighter. It seems that you are hitting 5 or even 6 strings sometimes making it louder on the strumming that it could be.

All in all though you are getting there , once you get use to those crazy chords

Marc

Hello Marc

Thanks for the comments.... yep the higher strings....

I've been at this so long now it feels like I'll never get it right
I tried leaving it a while then had to work on the C# chord again.

When there's a WILL...... there's a way.

Need to focus more.

Thanks Marc

Dermot

Well Dermot you got those streched chords,,the song as a nice sound with that high E in it,I think you are on the way and maybe the most work on it is to lighten up you strum/swing/arm/wrist ..hope Neil gives you advice I know he can!!!
