Hi Neil,

Thanks very much for that - it was really useful. I'll go away and practice that D string run as I think that makes a good transition. With the F to C change, I was originally using the open B string as a melody note, lifting the bar on the 3rd note of the measure, but as you say this deadens the ringing of the F in the bass, so I agree with you that it doesn't really work.
It's very good to have these things pointed out - just what I was hoping for.
