Still stuck in this Bach fixation. So here is the first gavotte from bwv 995. It's a little rough in some parts but that's OK. Gavotte 2 is a little beyond me at this point but I hope to get it sometime. The sheet music is from "The Solo Lute Works of JS Bach' by Frank Koonce.

John

I enjoyed your playing.
Looked like you were really in the moment too.
Even the Dog look happy to chill with you.

Is that a Blue Snowball Mic .... I've wondered if they are any good?
The recording sound great.

Thanks, I appreciate it. That is a snowball usb mic. They work great for videos of this type. Happy New Year.

Hi John,

You played that very well and seemed so comfortable with it. I didn't notice any rough spots, it just sounded really good to me

Thanks for posting

Thanks Bob.

Thanks Willem. I know about the first 8 bars of Bourree like most guitarists but I haven't completed it.

John I'd love to be able to offer some suggestions for improvement but I didn't hear anything out of place. You looked extremely comfortable with the piece and I really admire the work you have done here. Thanks for the look.

Wow, John, this is no piece of cake. A challenging song with all those quick notes with bar chords up and down the neck. I like that you bass notes are coming out very nicely.

Excellent playing

Marc

Tovo,
Marc,
Thanks. Attempting this piece sure gave me respect for anyone that can nail it during the pressure of a recital or any live performance for that matter. It takes quite a bit of concentration for me anyway. And alot of repetition. I think my wife was getting a little sick of it after hearing it all weekend.
Cheers,
John
