Nick Drake Place To Be by dtaylor
After the lesson on Pink Moon, I downloaded the album and have been listening to it constantly. This is a lighter tune from the album, in a similar tuning to Pink Moon. Apologies to Nick Drake fans, I've just learned it so could use some advice if you have any.
PLEASE NOTE: If video was recently uploaded it will not work yet. YouTube will need a little more time to get the video ready. Please check back again soon.

Very nice!
I am unfamiliar with this song, but it is lovely. You already have the chords and chord changes down pretty well.
I suspect there is quite a bit you could do some interesting fingerpicking with it, too.
Cheers,
Lynn

Dean, That sounded just great. I loved your vocals on this and, for a second, thought you were just playing to a track of Nick Drake singing! Your voice, in this song, sounds so similar to his.
What tuning is this song in? (I know I could go look at the lesson on Pink Moon- but i'm lazy!)
Well done, you!

That was beautiful Dean. Loved it!
Nice vocals and the fabulous sound of that BSG. Just great!
Were we listening to a mix of 3 tracks? Two guitar one vocal?

Thanks for the generous comments everyone.
Lynn, I suspect that Nick Drake played this with his fingers, he gets a soft, subtle sound it's hard to recreate. I was wondering if Neil had specific knowledge of that. I heard there was also a rare finger-picked version he did, I like the lilting quality of the strummed version though.
Suzi, it's CGCFAE, capo at 4th, to play along with the original the guitar is tuned sharp slightly. Pink Moon has the 2nd string tuned to C also.
Thanks Dennis, this tune definitely needs a vocal, glad you enjoyed it.
Chris, all my money went on the guitar, none left for fancy mixing suites
