Sorry for the double post. My browser was acting funny so I unwittingly uploaded this twice. I know this isn't a target song but I would love to hear Neil's take on it. I visited some tab sites and watched some other covers of this on You Tube and stole, I mean was 'inspired' by some of the better ideas.

Great video, your playing is always briliant.

It's a song I'd like to learn sometime.

That was great, loved the sniging and playing. Aiways loved that song, it puts me right back in the Army when I was drafted. I was 19 sitting in the barracks in 1969 not knowing if I was going to Viet Nam when I first heard it. Every time I hear it now, I'm back in 69, a scared 19 year old. I'm waiting patiently for Neil to do a lesson on this song.

Kenny,
Thank you so much. I don't quite have the history that you have with this song. But to me it's one of the magical ones. The lyrics are open to interpretation, but it evokes strong emotions nonetheless. In me I get a real sense of yearning, maybe even a little heartbreak but in a good way, a healing way, Ah the power of music.

Wow! That's terrific. I really enjoyed your take on this tune. It's one I've been hoping for some time to see a lesson on it. There's a really pretty finger-picking rendition floating around, but I've always found that version just a little bit too precious. Your technique here is really inspired and fits the song perfectly.\
