That was impressive Mark. Even without vocals you captured the groove, vibe, and soulfulness of a great song.
Well done indeed!

I enjoyed that very much Mark. I take it those were your own improv fills? If so, double-props.

Thanks every body for your comments.

Yes the lead bits are my own.
When the lesson first came out I made up a whole load of fills for the song. These are the ones which survived.

Mark:

Great to see you in action again. That was a very solid job. Your timing/tempo was consistent all the way through, and your emphasis on certain notes really brought the proper feeling to the song. The only thing missing was the deep soulful singing of Mr. Withers.... ;)

Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed this one.

Mark, this is fine stuff, it looks like you could play this tune for hours on end, and nobody would complain ...

But I guess you know that already !

Mark,

It’s so good to see another upload from you. It’s been too long :-)

As always I am very impressed with your work however I think you've raised the bar a bit and brought it up a notch. Really great fills … I would like to see the ones that didn't “survive”. You've managed to capture the mood and feeling of this piece beautifully and without the vocals which is no easy task. Very well done!

Great work Mark … Please don’t keep us waiting so long between posts. Eh?
