Thanks. I'm sure Neil had some great suggestions. Unfortunately, I'm not able to get any of his reviews to play. Maybe it's a problem on my end.

Try another browser.

Works for me now on the iPad, but not on my PC or laptop. I wonder if Neil is using a different codec for the reviews than for the lessons, all of which play fine.

Anyway, thanks very much for these suggestions. The first one - to not play beat two in the intro - is a big improvement. The others I'd done consciously, but didn't fully realise I'd dropped a beat in the process. I'll definitely spend some time on they.
