I'm finally feeling better after getting the flu and so I thought I'd sing this great hit, written by Hoyt Axton and recorded by "Three Dog Night" and Elvis Presley.

Great job Mike!

Personally i've always known and loved the song done by Elvis. I never bothered to look up who originally recorded it (my excuse is that back then we didn't have YouTube, Spotify etc. ;) ), but did now. Pretty similar actually.

Have you tried to somewhat vary the strumming? There is actually a whole lot to win in that respect. Hmmm.....i might get to it.

Glad you're doing better Mike, keep up the great work!

Very nice Mike! I sure didn't know that Hoyt Axton wrote that song....

I think that you stated before that you have retired now? Anyway, if that is the case or not, it is wonderful that you are getting to play and sing (and post) so much more!

Thank you for sharing!

Good job Mike! When I was young, I would sneak into my older brother's room and listen to his records. Three Dog Night was one of them. This brought back some memories!

Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work!

Nice Mike! I didn't know Hoyt Axton wrote this song either. I just knew the Three Dog Night version. I think I still have the LP too. For the record I WAS born in Oklahoma. Muskogee, Oklahoma. We made Merle Haggard the honorary mayor back around '69 when he release Okie From Muskogee. Keep 'em coming!

Nicely done Mike! I'm sitting here on my laptop with the flu also, too tired to go to sleep. So I'm catching up on videos I just haven't had time to watch.

Three Dog Night had some great tunes but Eli's Coming was my favorite. You heard that organ bass note and instantly knew what song it was.

Thanks for sharing!!
