Me personally if its furniture wax or polish that says it, it doens't say guitars. Me i use Lemon oil on the fretboard ever so lightly an extremely fine steel wool, On the body I huff and i puff and use good old elbow grease.

PS With the lemon oil i use minute amounts and only enough to clean I don't leave any to really soak in.

Check the Gryphono guitar site behind Frets.com they don't really use wax's or things like that they use huff and puff
