There are so many that I would like to mention but Michele always draws my attention on all kinds of points that I seem to miss. Whether by her threads, opinions, or playing, there is always something new and unexpected. I am trying to take example on her attention to details when learning a song. Great humor and fantastic little poems.

Great to know you Michele

I appreciate very much the kind remarks directed at me but believe me when I say I didn't start the thread to garner compliments for myself...honest! :-) Without being melodramatic I lost 2 friends this past year. There are things I wish I had said and didn't. That gave me the idea to encourage people to say some positive things here on TG.

Andy, that's a really nice thing you said about Michele. As someone who has had a couple of opportunities to meet her I can tell you and everyone that you couldn't meet a nicer person. I am richer for the experience that's for certain.

Hey Michele...no rules mate.

Another day, another A: Anton is my Man-of-the-day not just because he's a gentle, kind soul but because, like Willem, he manages to be with us from another culture and language and proves the point that in heart to heart communication, language is no barrier. I like Anton's attitude and the way he takes his music out onto the streets. That can be hard to do. Good on you Anton!

Ditto for Tony.

But I want to bring someone to light that did more than just inspire me. I learned something about myself from her. And for that I'm eternally grateful. Michelle and I had a discussion a while back and I was a bit more enthusiastic than I meant to be. She not only took it in stride, but in her doing so, I was able to spot something in myself that I've worked hard to change. I'll never be perfect, but then its all about the journey, right?

That's mine for today.
Andy, somehow I missed your comment yesterday. I was multitasking, surfing TG in front of the tele and chatting. Sorry for the delayed response.

Our discussion reminded me that TG is a place where we should share our love of all things music and guitars together. That's what we're here for. I think a lot of people, yourself included leave our differences at the threshold as we enter TG to some extend, hopefully not so much so that we can't discuss our lives a little too. We're all different. If you and I were able to meet in person we might explore those differences more. But, that's hard to do over the ether, especially with the potential for miscommunication.

I'm glad we were both able ot get back to sharing our joy for music and leave the differences at the door.

OK so yestrday I told you I had to think about it. Today I got to go deep sea fishing and it was great, but I must have talked about TG the whole time and about the wonderful people I have met either in cyberspace or in person. So today my inspiration goes to Tony for all his thought provoking question such as this one. He is always there challenging himself and others alike. I definitely won't limit this to one person and it won't be alphabetical so stay tuned.

Thank you Bob. (Hey you as well Chas)

I want to shout out to Bill. He's been keeping his powder dry in terms of showing us his stuff, but I just know one day he is going to bust out that video camera and blow us all away with his mad skills.

A more encouraging guy you could not meet and he also showed his generosity and human spirit by getting on board big time to help out Matt B.

Bill, you're yet another member who would leave the site a much poorer place if you were ever to disappear...so please don't!

The reason Bill hasn't posted a video is because it would give away his secret that he is really Eric Clapton...
I quite agree though with Tony on this, the site would certainly be the poorer if it ever lost Bill (Eric) ;)

Chas, I don't think he really is Clapton. And here's why: Bill is an exceptional human being. I just can't see Bill running off his best friends wife like Clapton did. Lol!
(Sorry about that..I just couldn't resist.) Bill is awesome!!

Putting the record a wee bit staighter, just remember the year all this went on. Also not commonly known Boyd was reputed to have admirers in John Lennon, Mick jagger and she also had a documented affair with Ronnie Wood, all before she married Clapton. She also turned down his advances whilst she was married to George H, as a result Eric moved in with Paula, Patties sister. Pattie split with George 5 yrs before she married Clapton. Now Eric was no saint but who is! was! Your point would have been better made if you'd mentioned Erics time with Yvonne Kelly, now that was not very nice, Claptons daughter ruth was born to Eric and pattie didn't know. That only came to light when Erics son Conor died. Note to self get back to updating the Clapton Blog!

As such I apologise to Bill for thinking he is Clapton (although Clapton is on record for saying he anonomously joins site such as this!)

Rethink maybe Bill is Fretkiller, you need to be a You Tuber to know that one! Whatever Bill still is an inspiration, don't ever leave this Hotel mate!
