Tom

That was a nice video tour. I have been to the Martin factory many times, my sister lives out there in Pa. Did you go in the room where you can play many of the high end Martins? For me it was fun but scary to play a giutar worth so much money. I love the Martin I have, but I think I like the sound of my Taylor better, noiw if I could only play better. My avitar is my nephews in the Martin factory playng the guitars wish I had started that youg

Hi Tom, nice to meet you. That was very generous of you to take the time to visit and share that video. I go to Nazareth and around there but was not aware of the Martin factory location. I will make sure to visit next I will be in the area.

Tom:

That was a great video you put together with the narration. I would love to take that tour as well, but I doubt I will get back that far for a bit. I have a 000-15L and love the warm sounds that I get from it. It is a great size as well.

It was great to put a face to the name and see the banner at another stop. Can't wait to see the next stop. Kind of neat to open that tube isn't it????

Cheers!

MJ

Tom,

Happy New Year to you as well. Thanks for the slide show. I had never seen the inside of the Martin factory. Great stuff.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. It's always fun to visit the Martin factory and it was also interesting to learn how to use Microsoft Windows Live Movie Maker. Piece of cake once you figure out its little quirks. I definitely recommend visiting Martin if your travels take you to that part of Pennsylvania. The tour is free and the folks there are very gracious hosts. You can even try out some of their guitars in a special studio and pick up some Martin logo stuff like tee shirts, hats. guitar strings, mouse pads etc. in the 1838 shop. Unfortunately these last two stops were closed for renovation when we were there around January 3rd or 4th but have probably reopened by now. All the best,
Tom

Hello Tom

It's good to see you.

That was a great contribution to the banner travels.

Unlike our noisy  Scottish night - although we did have a good chat and laugh, I think.
Well Reiver did make a good solo contribution - credit due.

The Martin tour looks amazing .... and they don't mind the photograpy?
The slide show is great .... I see TGMatt's partially built big custom guitar on the wall ;)

Thanks for taking the time to put this video together... very entertaining.

I like your comment about the guitar centre string being hex shaped, makes sense when it's brought
to your attention the way you explained it.
