My first guitar was an Eko ranger VI which I bought as a student more than 30 yrs ago.It is built like a tank and still sounds good after all these years. I recently sent it for repairs and I now leave it in the common room where my 18 yr old son and his friends often get together so that they have something to bang on and so leave my other guitars alone. My other guitars are an Ovation Legend model 1867, a Taylor 714CE LTD 2008, a CA cargo and a Seagull 25th Anniversary Flame Maple CW. I do not have a special favorite and love them all. They all have their own particular sound, look and character. The Ovation with its bowl back has a particular sound which you either love or hate. I am often amazed at the Seagull for it's quality and features in relation to the price you pay for it. It really is excellent value. The CA Cargo is a pure Carbon fibre 3/4 sized guitar. It sounds like a full sized guitar and because it is made of carbon it is quite hardy and is the perfect travel guitar. I often play with it on the bed just before I go to sleep and just leave it on the floor as I doze off. The Taylor 714 CE LTD 2008 has a Cedar top and stunning Koa back and sides and is definitely a looker. It does not sound half bad either! Yup....no one understands why I need so many guitars. Every time I flip through the pages of Acoustic Guitar magazine I will see another guitar model that I will lust for. The only solution I think is to get a custom made model with all my favorite features from various makes into one 'composite' model! Anybody out there have a Ziricote guitar? I know it looks good but how does it sound?

My first post!

My newest addition is a Takamine 45th anniversary - solid spruce top, solid african rosewood back and sides... unbelievable sound!

My others are Ovations - '05 ltd edition, 1118 12 String, Adamas Millenium, and the Adamas 1187-47 RI.

I just joined here today and it looks to be a fun place.

I was going to buy a Martin DXM last Fall at GuitarWorks, but couldn't hear the difference between the Martin and their own GWD-642. It really sounded great and I am very happy with it.

I have a Taylor 615 that I bought at a pawn shop, and got a good deal because it had been damaged and repaired ... sounds great! a Fender strat, an Ibanez GB10 and my first guitar, a pink Peavey Nitro3 that I bought back in the 80's. Can't play any of em half decent but I love looking at them.

I got both of my guitars used. My acoustic is a Taylor 914ce custom, rosewood back and sides and I think it's a red cedar top. My electric is a Gibson 446ES from their Custom Shop. It's about the size of a Les Paul but it's hollow bodied and weighs about 6 lbs.Image

Heres my present acoustic guitar.
http://www.totallyguitars.com/community ... hotoid=318
Its small and handy.
real easy to play.
It took me quite some time to get the neck just right in angle to the body but its rather ok now.
Its a Ibanez Talman from 2008 and is a so called Limited Edition.
Best Regards Micael from Sweden:)
