Good videos, thanks. Not quite ready to replace strings yet. Can a pick guard be added without much effort?

Jim
Frets.com has a good article on the very topic. It doesn't appear too difficult but this site does perovide very useful hints

I got both of my guitars used. My acoustic is a Taylor 914ce custom, rosewood back and sides and I think it's a red cedar top. My electric is a Gibson 446ES from their Custom Shop. It's about the size of a Les Paul but it's hollow bodied and weighs about 6 lbs.Image
Really like that Gibson Max.

nice one!

I purchased a Martin OMC-16E Maple guitar off of Craig's list, got a great deal. I never thought I would be able to afford a quality guitar of this nature. I am not sure if my playing is doing it justice, I keep thinking that it needs someone with better playing skills. For a small bodied guitar is has a great bold sound and the Fishman Ellipse Matrix Blend electronics really make it sing.

Well, my Martin backpacker SHOULD be here today, but we'll see. Also, I just bought a Baby Taylor for my son (all mahogany) and it should be here next Thursday. This is a bad, bad addiction.................

You know I thought the same when I bought my Alhambra steel string, but you know what... my playing improved tenfold and my motivation increased significantly, the improved sound made the difference

If not a "bad" addiction then definitely an expensive one...
