Yamaha FG-700S - This one is my baby. I treat it like gold.

Behind it you can see a Squier Strat by Fender - Affinity Series and a really crappy Esteban guitar that I had as my first acoustic. Please note I did not buy the Esteban craptar. My grandmother had bought it off HSN for my brother and he wasn't interested in it, so I basically swindled it from them.

Here's my Squier Strat wannabe electric. And the crappy Esteban - please note again - I did not buy the Esteban. Who buys guitars from Home Shopping Network? 89 year old grandmothers, and also my mother for my birthday. That's who. I promptly had my mother return the one she got me. She was really excited to get me a new guitar - so I tried to be nice about it (eg: I didn't tell her how badly the guitar sucked.)

Image

My cheapo Rogue A-Style Mandolin. $50 bucks - no truss rod - action on it kinda sucks - but I bought it to see if I was into the Mando. I may be buying a newer more expensive one soon.

Image

My cheapo Mando again. I still love it, even though tuning it (forget about restringing it) is a bitch. :(

My Esteban is my beach banger. I'm so not taking my Takamine to the beach and risk it getting mangled.

I have to take my Takamine to the beach Andy.... I just have the choice 6 or 12 string! :-) Life is a song on the beach.

Go buy an Alvarez $100 special for the beach! Arghhh! I don't know if I could handle my guitar at the beach. Mostly because its a real ocean beach. Salt water spray and the works.

My beach is a sedate swiss lake with water so clean you can drink it!

sl83,

Thanks for sharing. I really like yamahas as well. My 1st guitar is a bottom of the line F310 and I think it sounds great!

Technical question- How did you upload your images, and what format are they (jpeg? png?) I'm having trouble doing that on the forums and have created a support ticket.. but am just curious what you do.

Tx.

I use dropbox to host my images. http://www.getdropbox.com/

Then I just embed them in img tags.

They are jpegs.

I notice your Yamaha has to share a chair with your mandolin. Does that cause many fights? LOL Nice collection. Keep the Esteban! One day it will be worth what was paid for it!
