Whilst browsing the GHS site I happened to stumble upon sets of strings where the EADG were a much narrower gauge and were tuned an octave higher.
[E.020] [A.015] [D.011] [G.009] [B.015] [E.011]
bright Bronze for Nashville Tuning.
Perhaps they are not new, but certainly are new for me.
Has anyone tried this string concept?

Funny you should mention the Nashville Tuning; I was just thinking about it this morning. The Nashville Tuning gives a very airy, almost 12-string quality to the sound. If you want to hear a recorded example of the Nashville Tuning listen to the Stones' "Wild Horses". The rhythm guitar is strung in Nashville Tuning.

Thanks for the Rolling Stone reference Gingold. It does kind of sound like a 12 string without the full bodied sound.
I have a Tele that is destined to have a set installed to try them out.
