Yes, TABS. The chords are the same for both
Classical and Acoustic guitars.
Now try some of Neil's beginner lessons on the
site and start learning how to use them.

We are glad you are here, have fun and post any
questions here in the forum. Someone will help
you.

Be patient with yourself, TABS. The one thing we all
have in common on this forum is that we are all learning
and it takes time and practice, practice, practice.
Neil's lessons will help you get started and save you
from picking up any bad habits in the beginning that
many of us have had to overcome.
I know that TotallyGuitars is considering closing the
new memberships to the TARGET program, but after you
have had a chance to try out some of the free material
and try a few of the lessons, you may want to consider
becoming a member if its still available. It has very
detailed lessons and a pretty large library of songs to
learn.
I have been playing for 44 years and I am still learning
too.

The mark of a real guitar player is they never stop learning. Keep at it and you will be fine.

Tabs- Welcome to the forum! If you can play those chords already you are off to a good start. You'd be amazed how many songs you can play with just those chords.

Tablature is just a guitarist's way of cheating by not using real sheet music (I'm kidding!). If you are motivated to learn classical guitar (versus just owning a guitar with nylon strings) you might consider learning to read true sheet music. While most common classical songs have been transcribed to tablature not all have. And many classical instructors feel it is an abomination to use tabs versus "the real thing". They take themselves way too seriously!

But if you just want to learn basic guitar by all means learn to read tab. It's really easy, the numbers tell you which fret to finger on what string. All you need to learn then is all the adornments like slides, bends, vibrato, hammer-ons and pull-offs etc. Piece of cake, right? Well, almost.

Happy playin'

Thankyou all for welcoming me !

i think am much into playing a few songs just to have fun ,,

i saw many tablatures on the net of the songs i wanted to play ,
but they all seemed to be hard for me now as well as for their strumming !

for example lets say :
Jason Mraz - i'm yours
colbie caillat - bubbly

and i saw the free video here og the guitar basic chords, its helping me to know new chords as well !

thanks again !

Two things; 1st welcomne to the site TABS, if you have patience and follow Neils lead with what you have already learned then thats a great start.

2nd Tablature was actually invented before standard notation for early stringed instruments

Absolutely right Andy! Image

tabs, Longevity is key. Well, actually... First and foremost is a true passion for the instrument. At any rate, keep at it and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Welcome aboard, and definitely check out Neils beginner lessons. Image
