Alternate Chords: Horse With No name

I wonder if anyone has the sheet music for Horse With No Name for the 12string. On most vids of America the 12str is capoed I think at the 2nd but I'm not sure what chords are played. The 6 in standard is doing the Em , D6add9/F# another 6 in standard plays something else. Its just that my band want to do this and we have three rhythym guitars and at present we only know the Em D6add9/F# part it would be great if we could get as close to the original as this song is so well known improvising might be an injustice.

Sorry Chas. Don't have that one. I use the Em D6+9 myself. Try changing key and then making different parts.

Sorry, I do have this one for GP. I'll send it over since it has 3 guitar parts.

Capo at the 2nd fret and play Dm and C6add9 would be the way I might approach it. Since you have a third guitar you could either capo further up the neck and transpose accordingly. Or perhaps find alternate ways to play the Em, D6add9 un-capoed (barre chords, triads/partial chords).
Hope this helps some. The important thing is to not have all the guitars playing the same thing, like Neil talks about on 'Hotel California'.

Chas, I don't know if this helps but here's the tab I have. :cheer:
Ooops! Anyone know what type of files can be uploaded to this forum? I'm trying to upload a .pdf

The forum is pretty restrictive on what can be uploaded, not just type, but size as well. I sent Chas a GP file for it.
Chas, did the file I sent do the trick or do you still need something else?

Can you convert a .ptb file to a .gp5 file? I have a pretty good tab in .pdf and .ptb and the system doesn't like the .pdf file.
