Re: adhesive back pickguards. I bought a Guild and it came w/ a peel and stick on pickguard brown tortous(sp). I was debating whether to put in on or not. I decided to let the wood dry out and open up and after awhile if I do have some scratch marks from using a pick a bit to wildly I can always cover them up with the pick guard later. Actually it was a suggestion from my Luthier. Gary
