I love that picture. It is too totally funny!

There is no problem with taking all the strings off to clean the fretboard. you have to realize that it takes hours, possibly even days for the neck to really change its bend much. I was given a classical guitar once that had been strung with steel. I took all the strings off and put it in the corner. It took 4 days for it to straighten out.

Wow - aside from ruining the guitar - that's just dangerous to the person.

I lend you my tennis racket stringing machine if it's any help..... you can really get some tension on those strings (30 kilos +)!

Chris, Now you make me wonder just how much tension is actually on a set of strings?

yeah. Tennis strings are usually between 25- 27 kilos, 30 would be very tight. I^m guessing on guitar it'll be around 11 - 12 kilos. Good question. Let's see how long it takes Chas to chase this one down with a break-down per string/Pitch. Click, the clock is running.......

Andy pips Chas at the post! That was about 120 seconds flat andy, not bad. I just found out my tennis racket's strung in Bm and my squash rackets an A flat.

LOL Chris. Well, now you know you have at least 2 rack...er... I mean, stringed instruments you can carry off to the beach! Just be sure to get a really BIG capo so you can change keys....
