Gary,

I'm not sure if you're asking about GP or TG, but if you're asking about TG, here's the link:

http://www.tuxguitar.com.ar/download.html

It pretty much runs on everything.

Gary- I'm running it on two XP machines with no problems at all.

Tux Guitar looks similar to Guitar Pro. It has some of the same features and it also reads and writes GP files.

Yes, Chas did start a TAB group that also covers GP and Tux and all the other TAB software programs. Feel free to post there and ask questions. He and I are running it.

I have tried nearly every tab software there is and Guitar Pro beats them all hands down. Trouble is its not free, but I reckon its worth every penny. Once you've got it you get the new releases a lot cheaper, i've had it since ver 3 and its now about to go to ver 6. Specs for PC are as follows:

Minimal specs (for Midi PLayback)
Midi playback (an absolute must is a good midi player)
Windows 98SE/2000/XP, (I have Vista and it runs fine)
Pentium 500Mhz - 128 MB RAM
Sound card - CD ROm drive
30MB free hard disk space

If you get the RSE Real Sound Engine, and I recommend you do otherwise you don't get full benefit of the software.

Good quality Audio playback
Pentium 4 - 1.7 Ghz or higher - 512 MB RAM
Sound card - CD ROM
400MB free hard disk space

Do you know if we can delete a group or merge it into yours? It is hard to tell from your group title that it is for Guitar Pro. Maybe one of the admins can do this?
