Speaking of Picks
Tovo, yes a little over the top, if I did buy one I'd probably frame it, be afraid to lose it. I will say they are interesting and a large variety of shapes and sizes. I think I need to learn to fingerpick better and learn how to double pick with the ones I have before spending that kind of money on a pick. But Google "Wegen picks" just to see what I'm talking about. Gary
Check the Wiki out a lot of trivia nad useful info on picks.

For those of you old enough to remember the old TV show "Father Knows Best," you might find it interesting that the actor who played Bud (Billy Gray) is in the guitar pick business, making what he describes as an ergonomic pick that's easier to hold and reduces fatigue. You can see them here: http://www.bigrockeng.com/

RETRACTION... I just saw Bear's post on the other picking on picks thread, and I'm going to stick to my indestructible Dunlop nylon picks
Has anyone tired these?
http://www.bluechippick.net/
Their web sight says they are the "worlds best picks" LOL
I heard about them from Scot Tsai's Youtube sight. http://www.youtube.com/user/ScottTsai And he plays some high end songs VERY well!
And Tovo, if you think $15 greenbacks is high, try $35 of $40 bones!!!
Seriously though, does anyone use these???

the only sounds ive ever heard when using a pick are
1) a grunt as it's swung above my head
2) a dull thud as the pick hits the ground
3) scraping noise as it gets pulled loose
repeat 1 to 3 untill beer finished or hole dug
I thoought this was a music site and they may be talking about a Plectrum
ie a small triangular shaped piece of (usually) plastic, used to stike the strings of a guitar
So im just as confused as u are mate

I think the bottom line is if the sound your pick makes is your chief concern, you are probably way too advanced for the rest of us!! I'm pretty happy when my pick hits within two or three of the string I intended it to! :cheer:
