Okay, work with me on this one. Use your imaginations. Imagine that, for some inexplicable reason, you have to get a guitar-themed tattoo. What would you get? Where would you put it?

If I was going to get a tattoo, I'd put it on someone else! Anyone already GOT a guitar tattoo?

Okay... Great question
I would get a Dog with a Top hat riding a mountain bike with no hands and playing an acoustic guitar with a cut away of course. On the guitar would be my 2 daughters and my wife's names as if they had signed the guitar. All of this would have to be small enough to fit on my left calf muscle so I could only see it if I was looking. This tat would combine most of what's meaningful in my life. :)

I would have to go with an image of the Virgin Mary holding the Baby Elvis. It would have to be small enough that it could not be seen with the naked eye and put on the bottom of my foot.

I thought seriously for a while about getting a black-eyed Susan tattoo somewhere on me, but have pretty much scrapped the idea at this point (too painful, too expensive, too old [me]). But, hypothetically speaking, maybe I could get a tattoo of a guitar that's SHAPED like a black-eyed Susan? I mean, you see heart-shaped guitars and "V" shaped guitars, so why not a flower-shaped guitar? I don't know.... that might be too girly-girl even for me.....

I'm too old and stuffy for a tattoo, but...in the case suggested, I think I would get O_U_C_H tattooed on the fingertips of my left hand.

Thanks for the karma! You know,I actually have seen a flower shaped guitar (electric anyway). Check out Daisy Rock guitars on musiciansfriend.com. Maybe that's what you need, when you move over to the electric lessons.

I'll check it out! When my daughter (now 7) was younger, every time we would go to the music store she would beg for us to buy her a butterfly-shaped electric guitar. So maybe I can get her a flower guitar and then "borrow" it :)
