found some nice ones last night...
Emaj7 (on the 7th fret with an open top E), Same chord on the 5th fret, Same chord on the 3rd fret.
Thought they were really nice but if anyone can add to it then feel free...

I play the first two chords the Badd4 and A finger-picking twice then the A to C#m the same way and then strumming for the G#m to F#m and G#m to C#m. I think I'm on to something, thanks.
Other possible keys to explore are Em, G and E. In order to use all three chords one or two of them have to be borrowed from another key. If so, so be it.

Matt - I tried out your chord progression, it is Badd4, A, Em7, by the way. I then explored possible keys to derive from those. If I use the Em as the key then A and B should be minor. So, I used the A and B and a C#m with it. I'm now in the key of C#m, so adding the G#m and F#m filled it out for me.found some nice ones last night...

cool, thanks Ric. I'll try out some of those patterns
EDIT: could you explain why the chord is a Badd9 mate? i have a root of E with a B, F#, G# and then another E so i thought that would be in the E bracket of chords?
Thanks in advance theory king!! B)
