Fun thread Al! I have to say, I'd be lined up like the Rocketts with you and Tony at the bar of the Cavern for one of the Beatles gigs post Hamburg and pre Brian Epstein when they really were humming. Been to 3 Paul McCartney concerts and would visit anyone of them again gladly. I guess I should go to a Moody Blues concert (I'll take Tony along for the hell of it.. and for the frilly shirts... we'd have to dress in the style of the day!) in the early 70's.

If I had only one choice, it would be Woodstock.
If I had another choice it would have been Led Zeppelin.
Either one would have been grand!

Great choice, Mark!I would get myself on the top of the apple building for the last beatles performance.
After that I might take in some classic pink floyd and led zeppelin
I'm going back to February 14th 1970.
The University of Leeds.
To watch The Who.
SRV's final performance, as already mentioned, would be a great one, Cream at Royal Albert Hall, and Hendrix in his pomp anywhere..ok, lets go for the monterey gig where he went on after The Who.
That lot would keep me happy for quite a while

Ok my first choice...has not been mentioned yet. Woodstock. If not for the music for the party...
Second choice: (a little ambiguous here)
Some of the early Elvis concerts. Possibly before he went into the
army. When he was on top and seemed nothing could touch him.
Seen some of the later stuff and while some of the music is more sophisticated, seeing him lose track of the words to songs and stuff like that in later performances...not it.
