Great acquisition Kenny! Congrats! If I had a new guitar I wouldn't be on this forum, I'd be playing it until my fingers bled!

Enjoy your new best friend. You've earned it! :cheer:

Kenny - Sweet Guitar. My Dad bought the 175th Anniversary D-18 a couple years back and loves it. The craftmanship put into the Martins seems top-notch. Hope you enjoy it.

You have a problem if the guitar gets the girls and not you. Perhaps they have a friend though hmmm.

Serious though tis a very nice looking guitar, me i'd like the 000-28EC, its the only Martin i've tried that i like, so far!

Here you go, Chas. Something to hold you over while your wife works out on her new Wii toy.

Hey... Thanks for all the responses.

I'm in acoustic heaven. I played late into the night, then woke about 5:00AM, put on a pot of coffee and played some more. This guitar is glorious. As with most Dreds, it's more of a stummer/flatpicker than a fingerpicker, but it does that well enough too.

Chas, the 000-28EC would probably be a better choice for fingerpicking, in my humble opinion. I just may end up with one of those also, for that very reason. At the moment, I'm enjoying the hell of this one.

I'll try to get a video clip up with a medley of a few different types of songs so that you can get a better idea of how it sounds overall.

Okay kids... Gotta go play. C-ya! B)

Hey Kenny:

Congrats on the purchase. It is quite beautiful. I can just see you getting up at 5am and starting in. Just like an over-excited kid.....lol I have a 000-15 and absolutely love it. Martin does put out some wonderful instruments.

Enjoy it my friend!

MJ
