Every 5th Sunday is open mike day at the local church where I attend Thursday Night Jams. I just came back from a session and we've decided to perform a song or 3 for Open Mic night coming up. Either this month or March. Not sure of our schedule, but we are going to be on stage and I'm going to have it filmed. I'll share the video when its over.

Rick, In tonights session, I was playing the lead. LOL All I was doing was picking an arpeggio while they strummed chords. Sounded pretty good though.

Can't wait to see that video. I recently learned of a place near my home in New Hampshire which has an open mic night. I will investigate this as Chris placed the seed of a thought in my brain several weeks ago. It has germinated. The open mic night concept is a great one.

Well, so far we are planning maybe 3 songs.

We have the first one picked out. "Who Am I" by Casting Crowns
We have not picked the other songs yet, but I think we might do "Blessed Be Your Name" by Tree63 also.
Now that I am thinking about it, One of the guys was talkjing about doing both "Ill Fly Away" and "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" together as a sort of mini medley. So that would be our 3/4 songs.

Andy, is it every 5th Sunday of the month? Not many of them this year!

Chris, Yes, everytime a month has 5 sundays that is open mic night/day. Everyone welcome, you just have to let them know how much time to schedule for you or your group.

This year, Jan, May and Oct.

LOL. o.k., I thought you meant every 5 Monday .... there would be 10 of them!
