Hydro you're right mate, there are plenty of people far less fortunate. I am acutely aware of that. Mark thanks and you're right as well, it will happen just not today. With one hour left it's at 3k. Only fractionally less than I can buy it new in the US. I'll wait.

Better keep an eye on the student review videos. You never know, another Target Member may turn up with a brand new guitar

Just for info. It went for 2730 US Dollars (Rounded). It can be bought new in the US for 2999 US Dollars from my initial web research. That's not enough of a difference.

Still, enjoyed all the great and witty advice.

Oh well. Good news is I still have my 410...and my wife.
Well said! I'm proud of you for that. Another deal will come along.

In the meantime, if you are feeling a bit depressed, take some of that cash that you just saved, buy some canned goods, and donate it to a local food pantry for the homeless. Or how about picking up some really neat toys and giving them to a children’s hospital. It’s great personal therapy and may help keep you grounded. Works for me.
Hydro,

I love your suggestion about how to kill two birds with one stone. You get to forget about not being able to acquire a possession while at the same time helping others acquire something they desperately need.

I am so sorry you didn't get this guitar. It just wasn't meant to be, and I am proud of you.
Meanwhile, this was a very fun thread. Thanks for launching it.
