Mandolin anyone?

That was great Mike, looking at fingers on the fret Board, Bonaparte must have been running while crossing the Rhine. It would take me 20 years to learn such a piece. Sorry for my ignorance but how different is it from playing the 4 string banjo , can both tunes the same way and could this song be played on a banjo (not that I have either, but just curiuous).

Looking forward to anything you have to offer. That was awesome playing. What is the realistic price range for a decent beginner mandolin? What names would you recomend to start looking at?
