Very cool Al, Ihave messed around with these at music stores but could not talk the wife into it ! HOW DID YOU DO IT ? WHATS YOUR SECRET !
Also looks like you are getting bar chords down, good job.

Mark

Excellent question on how I did it.

Simple explanation..

It's easier to beg forgiveness than to ask for permission.

Am I right, Suzi??

That's funny Stratman. But don't get blinded by the novelty factor. The thing is- it doesn't take the place of my real acoustic. The Silent Guitar does sound good- but a real acoustic is just better all round.

It just really fit my needs for playing late at night. It's also a great travel guitar, as you probably saw in the Yamaha video.

Hey Al,

Thanks for sharing that guitar, I've not seen one before in my local shops. I learned something new today on TG!

Al,

That's really cool. I had seen one somewhere and I just thought it was plexiglass or something else clear. I didn't realize it was just open. Sounds pretty nice. Oh yeah you played well also.

Al, I had one of those the sound was amazing through the headphones. It was great for traveling , but be careful when you do, it looks like you are carrying a shotgun by the looks of the case. I ended up returning it so I could purchase a better acoustic. Kind of sorry I did, enjoy

Al really great I turned my volume off and it works so well, I couldn't hear a thing....

I generally don't have a problem with 'noise' as I am in a different part ofthe house, no young kids either so that helps. So the need is not there, plus I don't travel much either. But these are a good compromise for those in people in situations like that.

Congratulations on the purchase, Al!

I've played one of these (actually, the nylon one), and I really liked it.

So I have this on my GAS list as well (possibly twice--I need a new nylon guitar too). But it is in third place after a Taylor, and a 12-string.
