I must change my strings...BUT...

Hello TG,, I have to change to new strings,,But..On the moment i have Elixer phosphor bronze 0.12 on it and must have new ones,,,i have here a new set of the same strings but 0,11 and broke the high E,,, what do you think,,, can i let the old high E form the set 0,12 on my guitar and put on the rest of the set 0,11,,, they cost a lot you know....but i want your opinion on this....thankss..

Yes, you can mix strings no problem.

Willem- you can also buy just the .011 E string. Since it isn't a coated string it doesn't matter much if you mix brands. I wouldn't mix the coated strings. :cheer:

Some players (not me) buy individual strings in bulk and mix different sizes than what might usually come in a packaged set. So, no problem mixing sizes; judge by your ear.
