Finally had some time this morning and went down to the shop to buy the new guitar. Here are some pics. Now I'm going to do some playing. I'm in heaven......

Ah looks like the pictures didn't work. I'll have to try again. I'll post them in my profile.

Congratulations Mark. I wonder how many guitars we would have if we were all filthy rich? Could be a few!

Mark, I suspect you could make beautiful music come out of my old wind-up guitar I had as a kid, so I can't wait to hear what you can do with that gorgeous Taylor. Mazel tov!

Thanks all!!!

Dennis I hope I don't dissapoint.

Tony - Oh to be filthy rich........ While I was there I was discussing the BTO program for the next one. :) :) :) Champagne taste but beer wallet for me I'm afraid....

This guitar project so much more than the DN4 that I had. Apart from the rosewood back and sides and maybe the bracing being a bit different it is the same guitar. So much more warmer though. It may have lost a bit in the mids but that was to be expected. Of course I picked up a bunch more picks to try out and I think I'm getting it narrowed down to a few that I really like. It is probably me, being a total kid here, but I played several songs and a couple really stand out better on this guitar. Norwegian Wood and Sugar Mountain sound so much better with the overtones coming out of this. Messed around with Leather and Lace and that was much better as well. I'll be working on something tomorrow but it probably won't be up for another week. Maybe I'll just do a song that I know well and get it out so you can hear it.
