Sweet free Metronome on my laptop. Being the ultimate cheapskate, this is the one for me.

:woohoo:Plenty of metronomes on line for the best price...free. Just google on-line metronomes and take your pick.
Thanks Tovo.

I need a nome that has a substantial knock, knock, knock sound to it, not a high pitched beep, beep, beep. At my age my high frequency hearing loss causes some problems but is convenient at times when I'm at home  . Any suggestions which make/model has this feature?
For people that have iPhones or iPod Touchs, check out iTick. I think it was free and you can change the sound of the tick, including fingersnap, tambourine and ... wait for it ... cowbell. You can also use different sounds for the first beat in the bar versus the rest. It has time signatures and different tempos too.
While you're in the App store, check out Cleartune. It's a great tuner.
And I don't need to fit any extra gizmos in my bag because it's just an app in my phone that is always on my hip.
